Young Athletes is back and requesting volunteers!

Young Athletes Is Back! We are looking for highly motivated students to volunteer over a 10 week period (excluding Spring Break) in an after school program for kids with special disabilities and ages 2-7 years old.

This program "Young Athletes" is sponsored by Special Olympics and provides a great opportunity to connect with the up and coming Special Olympics athletes in our area. This after school program meets every Tuesday evening. Volunteers will help kids through various exercises which will teach the kids about sports, team sharing and communication skills. This is a HIGHLY rewarding experience! Are you free Tuesdays from 3:00pm-5pm? If yes, email our office for more information on how to become involved! Help impact the kids in our community!

In addition we are considering hiring a Young Athlete Coordinator please let us know if you are interested!

Field Day Volunteers Needed

Sullivan Elementary School is looking for student volunteer helpers for their field day activities on Friday Sept. 30th.

Times:  8:20 – 10:45 a.m. and/or 12:45 – 3 p.m.

Volunteer Coaches Needed - Basketball

Volunteer Coaches Needed – Jefferson Girls’ Basketball – Intramural  (5th and 6th Grade Girls).

Monday – Thursday 3:15-6:00 (practice and game schedule to be determined) - 8-12 volunteer coaches needed.

AWANA Program is Looking for Volunteers

We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic volunteer willing to  conduct Wednesday evening game activities for an AWANA program held at a local christian church (East Harrison Street Church of God, ~3/4 mile east of Walmart) during Spring 2011. 
AWANA is an international organization with 1000s of individual clubs across America and the world.  The game leader would be responsible for organizing a series of games for two groups of children each Wednesday evening in a large up-to-date gymnasium-like room.

The first group consists of ~30 kids in grades 3-6 from 7:00-7:30PM  and the second group has ~12 kids grades K-2 from 7:30-8:00 PM. If interested or for more information, please contact Gary Bulla at 508-3022.
